The fashion world lost a shining star yesterday, February 11th as McQueen was found dead in his London apartment. He was truly one of the most brilliant and versatile designers ever. He was recently best-known for his lobster-claw shoes that he presented in his spring 2010 collection in Paris. Lady GaGa rocked a pair in her latest video “Bad Romance” and have also been sported by Kelis at the Data Awards at Los Angeles.

“In a world where every man and his dog is a designer, Alexander McQueen was the real deal,” said celebrated hat maker Philip Treacy. “His talent was supersonic.”

• Kelly Osbourne “i am so so sad to hear the news of Lee (Alexander) McQueen! i really just dont know what say im really in shock.”

Alexander McQueen, you are without a doubt an inspiration and one of my favorite designers. RIP you will be remembered. xx
