I’ve always had a love for Jimmy Choo shoes but that gradually faded when Jimmy Choo decided to launch a line for H&M this past November. I couldn’t believe that such a well knowen and respected shoe designer would stoop to quality of H&M.
The day of the launch I hit up the Bloor Street location in Toronto to check them out for myself an
d I was so disappointed in the entire line. The shoes looked cheap and felt like barbie plastic. Yuck.
With that huge mistake behind them (in my opinion) I was totally shocked to hear that Jimmy Choo is now collaborating with Ugg!! Seriously?!..please someone give me permission to vomit now. There are five styles of Jimmy Choo Ugg boots that are set to launch this coming October. I don’t know about all of you, but I really do not know what to expect…but I’m sure it will be horrifying.

A few nights ago I feel in-love with these leopard ankle boots from ASOS and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about them. Everything about them sucks me in- from their fabulous print to their height and their style. They are 100% leather and have a hidden platform design to create the ultimate comfort. These are a must for my footsies!

2010 came in with a bang, and it has brought a lot of changes as I’m sure most of you will agree!
I strongly believe this to be a year to focus on moving ahead and bettering myself. With that realization, in late 2009 I decided to pick up my life and move it to another province to get an education. For the next year or so I will be in Newfoundland, and although NL has a lot of great things to offer it is drastically lacking in the shopping department.
Being the shopaholic that I am I’m having the urges to buy, but in my current location I have no where to shop! This would be a problem but thankfully I have my personal shopper Victoria to keep me sane.
The following images are just few of the items she has purchased for me.

The bow sweaters are from H&M, while the necklaces and earrings are from Forever 21
Their boxing day sales are still continuing and I would strongly advise you all to check out their amazing deals and find fab things to fill up your closet!
You can also shop online by clicking here.

Blue nail polish?
I was never a fan of blue polish until I discovered “Blue me Away” by Sally Hansen, now I rock it frequently.
For those of you that asked me what color I was wearing in the false lash tutorial, this would be it!

I adore false eyelashes and I rarely go a day without wearing them, but they can be a little tricky to apply. If you are new to applying and feel frustrated because you just can’t get it right, don’t give up! Practise does make perfect! Check out my tutorial below:
Tips
â—Ź Apply liquid liner along your lash line before and after applying false eyelashes. Doing so hides any visible imperfections and will add a more polished touch to your lashes.
â—Ź Before you add glue to your lashes measure them and make sure they are a perfect fit to your eye. Trim access carefully.
â—Ź After you have lined your lashes with adhesive let them dry for approx 30 seconds or until the glue starts to turn clear. If you apply your lashes immediately after adhesive application it will be more difficult to place your lashes exactly where you want them.
â—Ź When your lashes are in place they can always be maneuvered closer to your lash line with a pair of tweezers or fingertips.
â—Ź If you are only planning on wearing your lashes for a one time use, you can apply mascara for an extra fab look! It will make your lashes look more dramatic.

To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of Whitney Port or her show, but upon viewing this upcoming seasons preview I have a feeling I might change my opinion on both those topics. ”The City” premieres tomorrow September 29th on MTV and I’ll be tuning in to give it a second shot..atleast I know it can’t be any worse than last season, nothing happened!
Check out “The City” Season 2 trailer below:
Judging by the clip, I get a totally different feel and vibe than season 1. It actually looks interesting! For those of you that watched “The City” last year know exactly what I mean… Whitney couldn’t have been more boring. Is she finally stepping things up?
What do you think?

Shoppers Drug Mart is my weakness, whenever I go there I always spend much more than I should on things I don’t necessary “need”. When walking by I often have to stop myself from venturing into the store doors, but I can’t help but wonder what new gadgets and products they have waiting for me. The whole “stopping myself” tactic rarely ever works, and I have my reciept from yesterday to prove it. Thankfully I did’nt go overboard on the spending, but I did come across these two items that I just couldn’t say no to:

The blue case is an eco friendly lunchbox by Fuel. It is the perfect size to fit a sandwich and a small snack. And unlike tupperware containers this clever lunchbox is a one-peice that opens and shuts, so you will never have to go looking for the proper size lid! It also comes in three other fun colors, salmon, orange and lime green. I will be putting this lunchbox to the ultimate test when I pack my lunch tomorrow to go to Toronto Island.
Ok so it’s pretty obviously that the other item that I purchased was a nailpolish (as if I don’t have enough), but I really fell inlove with the color. This pink is a new shade by Revlon called “Sweet Tart” #185.
I am currently wearing it, and to be honnest I’m not very impressed with the outcome when applied. The color hasn’t let me down but the unevenness of the coats aren’t up to my standards for a nailpolish, but then again nothing is better than OPI.

Wearing my denim leggings on set! The pair I am wearing are not the exact pair that is in the garage photo on the left, but are very similar.
Although some people think that the denim legging trend should have never came into existence, I think just the opposite! While hitting up the Eaton Center last weekend I got my hands on a pair from Garage and I couldn’t walk out of the store without making the purchase. Their cost: approx $30. I absolutely love them! However I do agree with many people on the topic of these faux denim wannabes. They do not look good on everyone and you do have to have the right body type to pull them off. Besides the fact that they are incredibly comfortable they also have another bonus-no ugly pant button bulge!
I rocked my denim leggings last Tuesday on the set of a spec Nokia commercial shoot!

Today while chilling at the lake I spotted a couple searching the beach for something and they seemed very determined to find it. Me, being curious asked what they were looking for and if they needed help. They responded with a “no” and further explained that they were simply “geocaching”. I’ve never heard that term before and was still confused as to what they were actually doing.
Geocaching, that I now refer to as “Tub Hunting”, is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices.
I didn’t know that this game existed and I am very intriged by the whole idea. Geocaching is my opinion is similar to hunting for burried treasure. The basic idea is to find containers, called geocaches, in your area (or all over the world) hidden by other players and claim it’s contents! Geocaching only has one major rule!-If you take items you must replace them with something of your own . The containers or tubs can consist of just about anything, such as personal notes, jewelry and anything you want to share with the world. I was told by the lady that I was speaking with today that she once found a $10 Tim Hortons card in a geocache she found!
In order to play this worldwide game of “hide and seek” you first have to sign up for an account (it’s free!) to be able to access the treasure map. The only qualification required to play is a GPS, as this is how you get clues on the items location ware abouts. If you do not have a GPS you can download the geocaching app for your iphone! Info on this app can be found here.
I have signed up for an account and plan on participating in the fun. “Tub Hunting”… my new hobby?

The corner of Coxwell and Gerrard was poppin’ at Baron Byng Memorial Hall in east Toronto around Midnight tonight. It wasn’t until I heard screams that I became a little concerned and ran outside to try and figure out why there was so much commotion. Everyone was running out of the hall and onto the street yelling in panic so I just had to figure out what had happened to cause such a scene- maybe sometimes I’m too curious. The atmosphere was intense! It felt so surreal, almost as if it were some prank and the camera crew would pop out at any moment. I overheard someone say that a 34 year old man punched at 13 year old girl at the party and then ran off, which totally makes sense as to why everyone was running down the street. But why would some random dude knock out a child? There has to be something more… It wasn’t until the majority of the commotion was over that I got my hands on a digital camera to take a few real photos, something that my blackberry doesn’t do successfully. Click here to see more photos. The people at the party were blaring Chris Brown… crazy coincidence?

I am a huge animal lover, so a few years back when I discovered an organization called PETA I couldn’t have been more thrilled. PETA stands for “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” and are well known for their strong beliefs in the well being of those animals.
It wasn’t until recently that I have acknowledged that PETA may not be as amazing as I thought. While doing research it was clear to see that the “people for ethical treatment of animals” are not all that ethical, they have hidden motives behind everything they do. So I continued my hunt for the truth…
Does PETA actually help animals? Yes, they do but only to a certain extent. In my opinion they have a blurred vision of what’s right and what’s wrong. They do rescue animals that are in need of help but only to put them to sleep afterwards as they fell that those animals are no longer adoptable. This leads to my next question:
Does PETA kill animals? Yes, and there are documents to back up this statement. Out of the large number of animals that were found, rescued and brought into the shelter in 2008 only 7 of the 2,216 were adopted, which means PETA killed 95%. (Read more about this at www.petakillsanimals.com.)
I find that very contradictory to what PETA itself is claiming to represent.
I was discussing this topic with a friend recently and he also wanted to share his views and opinions on this issue:
“In this day of information it is always a difficult task to keep up with what information is legitimate and what information has a hidden agenda for the purpose of either making money or controlling the way you think. PETA (People for the ethical treatment of animals) just so happens to be an organization that has a massive media push that conveys a message that is at times confusing. When I first heard of PETA I commended them for making people aware of animal cruelty, but as a few years went past people started bringing my attention to certain blogs and websites discrediting the organization.
The first website that came up that discredited PETA in my hunt for the truth was www.petakillsanimals.com . This website describes how unethical this organization really treats animals that are brought to their shelters that are suppose to go up for adoption. This website claims PETA euthanized 95 percent of the dogs and cats in its care last year that were supposed to be adopted. The reason for this killing I believe is a simple one, it actually costs money to care for animals and with PETA’s 32 million dollar budget just on advertising that leaves little room for the actual care of animals. It’s unfortunate a group who I m sure initially had good intentions really got twisted up into a media circus of pressing believes instead of caring for animals.
I’m sure PETA has done many other things in favour of the ethical treatment of animals to counter balance this argument, but that still does not give the right for an organization that has such strong views as PETA to turn around and kill off the majority of the animals there shelters take in. If you looking to donate to a shelter or organization, take some time to research what the organizations procedures are with taking in animals. There are plenty of small organizations you can find that do really well at finding homes for animals but don’t have half the budget PETA does.”

With all of this being said I do however support PETA in other aspects of what the foundation is associated with. Although PETA’s views are very strong and are sometimes too forceful, I think it is great that they are making people aware of the mistreating of animals in big companies such as KFC. KFC’s chickens are severely abused and brutalized in a way that is not humane. The chickens beaks are often pulled off by the slaughterhouse workers, thrown against walls and boiled to remove feathers, all of which is done while the chickens are still conscious and are able to feel pain. Undercover agents helped PETA and it’s followers get the inside scoop of what really takes place in KFC chicken farms by filming this video:
If you would like to take part is putting a halt to this cruelty PETA offers an online petition that can be signed here to help put a stop to animal welfare. To sign, click here.
Please note: All of what has been discussed above are our own views. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I think everyone should discover this organization for themselves and come to their own conclusions on what they think of PETA.

A friend of mine has recently introduced me to the new HBO series True Blood. It is currently in it’s second season of production, so I have been watching it online to get caught up so I can watch each episode as they air on TV. I finished watching the entire first season a few days ago and now am into the first couple episodes of season two, and I’m still not quite sure if I even really like the show. It does have some aspects that are interesting and different, but overall it is way to far-fetched. I will however give props to HBOÂ for being original because they have certainly brought something new to the table in terms of a TV series, but in my opinion if it wasn’t for the Twlight phenomenon this show would not be half as popular.
What are your thoughts?

Yesterday was the opening of the Canadian National Exhibition so my friend and I decided to partake in the excitement. The CNE, also knowen as “The EX” is open from August 21st-September 7th and it is something most people look forward to every year.
This year there is a Garnier tent set up near the Lakeshore entrance that I had to check out! The inside is filled with Garnier products and live demonstrations. Upon entering the tent I was asked to fill out my info to be eligible to win a prize. I won! (I’m sure most people win, haha). I won the new Garnier Nutritioniste Ultra-Lift Pro Deep Wrinkle Roller. Although I do not have deep wrinkles, I’m very curious to see if the product actually works to reduce the look of slight lines as well. I will be using the ultra-lift pro for the next few weeks to see if it works first hand and get a feel for Garniers products other than their hair care lines. I have always loved Garniers shampoos, so I’m hoping their other beauty products doesn’t dissappoint.
The Ultra-Lift pro can be purchased at just about any local drug store as well as big department stores such as Wal-Mart. It’s retail value is approx $20.
The Garnier tent is not the only thing that caught my attention yesterday, while walking through the Direct Energy Center the Miche Bag caught my eye. The Miche Bag is an interchangeable handbag with over 100 different outer shells to choose from. This bag would be perfect for travelling because it would take up minimal space in your suitcase and you would have a color to match every outfit. The outer shells are super easy to change and will not fall off unless taken off. The Miche bag costs $99.98 but comes with 3 started shells of your choice. This bag would be a great gift! Click here for their new colors!
